Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the Town & Country Sales website.
Town & Country Sales is a rural and agricultural retailer based in Glenarm, Northern Ireland. By placing an order through our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Ordering
All orders placed through our website are subject to availability.
When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. This confirms that we have received your order but does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.
We reserve the right to cancel an order where an item is unavailable, incorrectly priced, or where we are unable to fulfil the order for another genuine reason. If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, you will receive a full refund.
We aim to keep product descriptions, photographs and prices as accurate and up to date as possible. Product colours and appearance may vary slightly from photographs.
2. Prices
All prices shown on our website are in pounds sterling (£).
The price payable will be the price displayed at the time your order is placed.
Where applicable, VAT is included in the displayed price.
We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing errors. If an item has been purchased at an obviously incorrect price, we will contact you before processing the order and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or receive a full refund.
3. Delivery
We aim to dispatch orders as soon as reasonably possible.
Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on the delivery service, location, weather, availability and other circumstances outside our control.
Some large, heavy or bulky agricultural and hardware items may not be available for standard delivery. Where an item is Collection Only, this will be clearly stated on the product listing.
If delivery is unavailable to your location, we will contact you and arrange a suitable alternative where possible or issue a full refund.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive tracking information where a tracked delivery service is available.
4. Collection
Some products may be available for collection from our premises in Glenarm, Northern Ireland.
Where an item is marked Collection Only, delivery will not be available for that product.
Customers collecting orders should wait until they have received confirmation that their order is ready for collection.
5. Returns and Your Right to Cancel
If you purchase goods online as a consumer, you generally have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
After telling us that you wish to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.
Goods should be returned in their original condition, with original packaging where reasonably possible.
You are responsible for the direct cost of returning an item if you simply change your mind, unless the item is faulty, incorrect or we have agreed otherwise.
You may handle goods as you would reasonably be able to in a shop to establish their nature, characteristics and functionality. If goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary and their value has been reduced as a result, we may be entitled to make a deduction from the refund where permitted by law.
6. Items That Cannot Be Returned
Some products are exempt from the usual cancellation rights. These can include:
• Personalised or made-to-order products
• Goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire quickly
• Sealed goods which cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed
• Any other goods excluded from cancellation rights under applicable consumer law
Where an item is excluded from the statutory cancellation period, this will be made clear where appropriate.
This does not affect your legal rights where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
7. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible.
Please provide your order number and, where appropriate, photographs of the item and packaging so that we can investigate the issue.
If goods are faulty, not as described or do not meet the requirements of consumer law, you may have the right to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights.
8. Refunds
Once a return has been received and checked, we will process any refund due as soon as reasonably possible.
Where you exercise your legal right to cancel an online order, refunds will normally be made within 14 days in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.
Where you have paid for standard delivery, the cost of standard delivery will generally also be refunded when you exercise your statutory cancellation right. Any additional cost for a more expensive delivery option will not normally be refunded.
9. Exchanges
If you would prefer to exchange an item rather than receive a refund, please contact us.
Exchanges are subject to stock availability.
Your statutory rights regarding faulty or incorrectly supplied goods are not affected by our exchange policy.
10. Delivery Problems
If your parcel arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible.
If an item is missing from your delivery or you have received the wrong item, please contact us and we will investigate and arrange an appropriate solution.
11. Product Information
We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product information, descriptions, photographs and prices are accurate.
Manufacturers may occasionally change product packaging, specifications or appearance. Where this happens, the product supplied may differ slightly from the photograph while still being the correct product.
12. Website Availability
We aim to keep our website available and operating correctly, but we cannot guarantee that the website will always be available or free from errors.
We may temporarily suspend the website for maintenance, updates or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
13. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
In particular, nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer or our legal responsibilities in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods.
14. Complaints
If you have a problem with an order or are unhappy with our service, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve the issue.
Please provide your order number and details of the issue wherever possible.
We will aim to deal with complaints fairly and as quickly as reasonably possible.
15. Privacy
Any personal information provided when placing an order will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
16. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in Northern Ireland.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
